Darrell Lea’s Occupation Health and Safety and Food Safety Policy

Statement

Darrell Lea Chocolate Shops Pty Ltd is a retailer and manufacturer of quality and unique products with a focus on customer service excellence. As such we are committed to  providing the highest possible standard of OH&S, food safety and hygiene. Our commitment also includes corporate responsibility to the community to ensure our employees, consumers, customers and other stakeholders are safe from injury and health risks within all our workplaces and from our products. We are committed to working with all our stakeholders to achieve these objectives.

Objectives

The objectives of this policy are to ensure, so far as reasonably practicable:

• Industry best practice standards are observed with regard to OH&S, food safety and hygiene;
• Risks to health and safety for all stakeholders are controlled in all our workplaces across our retail stores,
  manufacturing and workplaces;
• Maintain our Food Safety Management Accreditations (HACCP and BRC and major retailer programmes such as
  WQA and Coles certified) and commit to attaining accreditation in any other industry and global standards;
• Safe systems of work are provided and maintained;
• All our employees are provided with information, training and instruction;
• OH&S and Food Safety policies comply with legislation.

Our Commitment

This policy applies to all employees and contractors of Darrell Lea Chocolate Shops Pty Ltd. Communication and consultation on OH&S, applying risk management principles and the identification and elimination of potential harm to our customers, consumers, visitors and each other are critical performance expectations of all Darrell Lea employees. As part of our commitment to improve, this policy and others are reviewed on a regular basis.
