Darrell Lea Chick eggs are back!

Dear Australia,

Since 2012 we have all lamented the loss of the little fluffy chick that traditionally perched upon the essential Darrell Lea Nougat Egg, which has been faithfully delivered to you by the Easter Bunny since the early thirties. The little chicks had seemingly flown the coop, bumped off the wagon along the Rocklea Road back from Darrell Lea’s financial distress. read more…

Darrell Lea promise BIG surprises are in store and fun crowd games are planned.

Last year Darrell Lea’s Father’s Day Fete was held on Saturday the 6th of September which also marked their Grand Opening at the brand new Factory in Ingleburn. Darrell Lea received an overwhelming amount of support from the community with over 17,000 people attending throughout the day. The Liberal MP, Bryan Doyle, even showed his support by making an appearance and cutting the ribbon to mark the official re-opening.

The factory store was open for the whole day, even after the fete had finished, as customers eagerly queued to sample a huge range of products as well as buy their favourite treats. Darrell Lea’s friendly staff members wandered around through out the day handing out delicious chocolates and liquorice samples, making sure all of the guests were kept in high spirits.

The team at Darrell Lea is very excited to extend an open invitation to share this day with the community and is determined to make this a day that is sure to be enjoyed by everyone. So head down to Darrell Lea at 3 Brooks Road Ingleburn, between 7:30am and 2:00pm on Saturday September 5th to enjoy a day full of fun, games and chocolate!

Darrell Lea has been a favourite of every Australian for decades and upon placing themselves into voluntary administration in 2012, Julia Gillard, the Prime Minister at the time, was disheartened and stated that she hoped a new owner would step forward and keep this “icon of Australian business” running.

The reestablishment of Darrell Lea by the Quinn family in the September of 2014 saw immediate interest within the community with a crowd of over 17,000 coming to celebrate with us at our Grand Opening Father’s Day Fete at our brand new factory in Ingleburn.
