Sweet Rewards Terms & Conditions

The Sweet Rewards Program is operated by Darrell Lea Chocolate Shops Pty Ltd ABN 99 000 498 386 (Darrell Lea). Each Sweet Rewards Program Member (Member) is bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Membership

  1. The Sweet Rewards Program is a points based loyalty program offered by Darrell Lea in its absolute discretion. Darrell Lea may amend, suspend or terminate the Sweet Rewards Program at any time in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  2. An applicant may apply to be a Member by:
    • Making a purchase at a participating full range Darrell Lea store (click here for the store list) and receiving a Sweet Rewards Program Card from the Darrell Lea store.
    • Members must then register further details online at www.sweetrewards.com.au to fully activate their account and member benefits; or complete a paper registration form at the participating Darrell Lea store and hand back to the Darrell Lea Staff (membership will be activated within 2 weeks).
  3. Until the such time that the Member registers their contact details online at www.sweetrewards.com.au or until the paper registration form handed into the participating Darrell Lea store is activated, the Membership is unregistered and benefits such as the Birthday Sweet Treat and any Darrell Lea vouchers cannot be issued and redeemed. If the Member does not have an email address, a postal address and phone number must be given on the paper registration form.
  4. Only individuals can apply for Membership. Corporations, partnerships, trusts and other entities are not eligible to participate in the Sweet Rewards Program at this time.
  5. Each application for membership of the Sweet Rewards Program is subject to acceptance by Darrell Lea in its absolute discretion. Darrell Lea may suspend or terminate an application for the Sweet Rewards Program or the membership of a Member at any time in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  6. A Member may only hold one Sweet Rewards Card. Membership and cards cannot be held jointly with other persons. Multiple memberships cannot be held or merged. Darrell Lea may, at its discretion, deactivate duplicate Sweet Rewards Program accounts based on activity. Any points in these duplicate accounts may be forfeited. Refer to the FAQ’s for information about what to do if your Sweet Rewards Program card is lost or stolen.
  7. Darrell Lea will determine in its absolute discretion whether employees, contractors and agents of Darrell Lea or its related entities and licensees / franchisees, or any employees and agents of Darrell Lea’s advertising agency or other persons involved in the Sweet Rewards Program are eligible to participate in the Sweet Rewards Program.

    Points and Member Rewards

    Registration Offer

  8. After Members receive their Sweet Rewards Program Card in the Darrell Lea store, they must finalise the Sweet Rewards Program registration by completing the required fields online at www.sweetrewards.com.au (or submitting a paper from to the participating Darrell Lea store). If registration is completed online within 14 days from the initial purchase at a participating Darrell Lea store, the Member is eligible for one Bonus Sweet Reward Darrell Lea product, redeemable at participating Darrell Lea stores (click here for list of stores). The Member will receive an email confirmation of this offer.
  9. Only one Bonus Registration Sweet Reward Darrell Lea product is available per Member. . The Bonus Sweet Reward Darrell Lea Product is only available while stocks last. An equivalent product may be substituted if stocks of the Bonus Sweet Reward Darrell Lea Product are unavailable. The Bonus Registration Sweet Reward offer is subject to change.
  10. Members have 30 days from completing their online registration to redeem their Bonus Sweet Reward Darrell Lea Product (at participating Full Range Darrell Lea stores only).

    Points

  11. The Sweet Rewards Program is a points program. The more a Member spends the greater the points they will earn providing they produce their Sweet Rewards Program Card with every transaction.
  12. The Sweet Rewards Program allows a Member to earn 1 point for every AUD$1 spent at a participating Darrell Lea store within Australia (all company owned full range stores) on presentation of a Sweet Rewards Program Card, subject to terms set by Darrell Lea from time to time in its absolute discretion.
  13. When a Member reaches 100 points, the Member will receive a $5 Darrell Lea shopping voucher, which will be automatically issued to the Member for redemption in store upon their next purchase. Members may choose to use the voucher in a single transaction within the validity period specified on the voucher. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash or a credit voucher if the full amount is not spent in a single transaction.
  14. At this stage, Sweet Reward Program points cannot be earned or redeemed at Darrell Lea Online.
  15. Points earned by a Member will expire 12 months from the date of issue of the particular points received from the particular transaction.
  16. A Sweet Rewards Program Card must be presented at the time of sale for the sale to accumulate points under that specific Membership or the staff member must look up the Member’s account and select that Member before the sale tender. Points will not be allocated to a transaction retrospectively unless otherwise communicated.
  17. Points will be allocated to a Sweet Rewards Program Member account as soon as reasonably practicable after each Eligible Purchase at a participating Darrell Lea store, subject to specific promotion terms and system availability.
  18. Points will not be earned on purchases of a Gift Card or manual discounts including but not limited to clearance items or staff discount.
  19. a Member believes eligible points have not been allocated to their account, they must wait 7 days from the date of purchase and then post their original receipt to Sweet Rewards, Darrell Lea Chocolate Shops Pty Ltd, Locked Bag 5, Kogarah NSW 2217.

    Shopping Vouchers and Birthday Treats

  20. A Member can redeem their Darrell Lea voucher or Birthday Treat by or on the specific validity date. The Sweet Rewards Program member must forfeit their voucher to the Darrell Lea team member, and present their Sweet Rewards Program Card (or card number). Any unused portion will be of the voucher will be forfeited. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
  21. The Birthday Treat offer is limited to one redemption per Sweet Rewards Program Member per year. The Birthday Treat offer is paperless, and is loaded onto the registered Member’s online account for the entire calendar month of their birthday. Members can redeem the birthday treat in store at anytime during their calendar birthday month.
  22. Points cannot be earned on the voucher portion during a purchase, when that voucher is redeemed by the Member.
  23. Sweet Rewards Program points and any Darrell Lea vouchers cannot be transferred to other Member or redeemed for cash. They must be redeemed by a registered Member.
  24. Sweet Rewards Program points earned and other member details can be checked at Darrell Lea Online following the entry of the Member’s registered email address and password details, subject to system availability.
  25. Sweet Rewards Program points earned and benefits will continue to be available for redemption while the Sweet Rewards Program is operating and the relevant Member account remains open and active.

    Participation

  26. Members agree to receive marketing information, offers and special promotions from Darrell Lea via Email and SMS.
  27. A Member will not receive any further Darrell Lea information (except quarterly Points Statements) from Darrell Lea if that Member:
    • selects the OPT OUT link at the base of any email received by that Member from Darrell Lea
    • follows the links on the Darrell Lea website or
    • Calls the Customer Service centre on 1300 368 745 (Monday – Friday, 9 – 5pm). and requests no further communication through certain communication channels.
  28. Sweet Rewards Program benefits and terms are subject to change at any time at the absolute discretion of Darrell Lea. Members will be advised of any program changes at www.sweetrewards.com.au
  29. There is no age limit on membership for the Sweet Rewards Program however members under 18 years require permission of a parent or guardian to join.
  30. Darrell Lea reserves the right to change or add tiers of membership to the Sweet Rewards Program, the qualifications for joining or tier status of a Member and the membership entitlements for each tier, at its absolute discretion.
  31. The Seniors Discount card cannot be used in conjunction with a Membership. Seniors are eligible to join the Sweet Rewards Program and receive 1 point per AUD$1 spent, as well as an additional 5% discount only. This offer is only valid for a Senior Discount card holder who is also a Sweet Rewards Program Member proving their Membership number during the transaction.
  32. Sweet Rewards Program points and promotional offers cannot be earned in conjunction with any other third party offer including (but not limited) MYER One shopping points.
  33. Sweet Rewards Program benefits can only be redeemed for eligible goods and services sold at participating full range Darrell Lea stores in Australia or at other nominated Darrell Lea Sweet Rewards Program partners as advised on www.sweetrewards.com.au. Unless otherwise stated the Sweet Rewards Program benefits cannot be redeemed online at this time.
  34. Refunds will only be provided for goods and services purchased using a Sweet Rewards Program Card in accordance with Darrell Lea’s refunds and returns policy. In the event of a refund, any Sweet Rewards Program benefits earned for the original purchase will be deducted from the Sweet Rewards Program account, and if purchased using redeemed Sweet Rewards Program Darrell Lea vouchers in partial or full payment, the Sweet Rewards Program voucher component will not be refunded.
  35. membership details will remain private in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act.
  36. Personal information will only be used for the purpose of the Darrell Lea Sweet Rewards Program and by the Darrell Lea Group of companies and its franchise owners for marketing and promotion. Darrell Lea’s Privacy Policy will apply to the collection and use of your personal information.
  37. Darrell Lea may provide personal information to outside organisations that are contracted by the Darrell Lea Group of companies to carry out advisory, administrative or research functions for Darrell Lea.
  38. Your Darrell Lea Online password must not be disclosed to any other person.
  39. All Darrell Lea Sweet Rewards Program Cards remain the sole property of Darrell Lea.
  40. Darrell Lea is not responsible for stolen, damaged or lost Sweet Rewards Program Cards. Refer to the FAQ’s for information about what to do if your card is lost or stolen.
  41. All conditions and warranties whether express or implied and whether arising under statute or otherwise, are expressly excluded to the full extent permitted by law.

    Program Changes and Termination

  42. A Sweet Rewards Program account remains active providing there has been activity on the account within the last 12 months. Darrell Lea may at its own discretion cease regular communication with inactive Members and inactive accounts may not be eligible for benefits.
  43. Darrell Lea reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Sweet Rewards Program at any time. Darrell Lea will make all reasonable efforts to communicate advance written notice of such changes using methods including, but not limited to, notification on the website and email to each Member.
  44. A Member may terminate his or her membership in the Sweet Rewards Program at any time via the website or by calling our Customer Service Centre on 1300 368 745 (Monday – Friday, 9 – 5pm).
  45. Your membership in the Sweet Rewards Program may be terminated immediately by Darrell Lea if Darrell Lea has reasonable grounds to suspect that you have not complied with these Terms and Conditions, have stolen goods from any Darrell Lea shop or defrauded Darrell Lea or the Sweet Rewards Program in any way.
  46. Darrell Lea may terminate any membership of the Sweet Rewards Program without notice, if you:
    • fail to comply with these membership Terms and Conditions;
    • engage in misleading or deceptive conduct in connection with the Sweet Rewards Program;
    • or do not use your membership card for a period of 12 months.
  47. Darrell Lea may make any changes at any time in its absolute discretion, to these Terms and Conditions. The current Terms and Conditions will be available at www.sweetrewards.com.au at all participating Darrell Lea Stores in Australia, or by contacting Darrell Lea direct at 1300 368 745 (Monday – Friday, 9 – 5pm) or support@sweetrewards.com.au
